ADAC RAVENOL 24h Nürburgring
A GREEN HELL OF A RIDE
As one of the world's biggest motorsport events, the 24h Nürburgring stands out as a true highlight on the annual racing calendar. Renowned manufacturers, teams and drivers have been competing in this challenging endurance race since 1970.
Today's 25.378-kilometre circuit, combining the iconic Nordschleife with the Nürburgring Grand Prix track, presents exceptional challenges for both drivers and cars due to its distinctive layout. The success story of Mercedes-AMG Motorsport has always been closely linked to the Eifel circuit known as the 'Green Hell', marked by numerous overall victories.
2026 ADAC RAVENOL 24h Nürburgring
At the 54th edition of the ADAC RAVENOL 24h Nürburgring, we celebrate our long-awaited third overall victory. Ten years after our last success, the Mercedes-AMG Team RAVENOL, with Maro Engel, Maxime Martin, Fabian Schiller, and Luca Stolz, wins the prestigious Eifel classic with a lead of over two minutes. The #80 Mercedes-AMG GT3 starts from 25th on the grid and works its way up the field position by position in the early stages. After four hours, as the rain sets in, the team makes the right tyre choice and takes the lead for the first time.
During the night, there are several close encounters between the #80 and the #3 Mercedes-AMG GT3 from Mercedes-AMG Team Verstappen Racing, with the two performance cars repeatedly swapping the lead. Just under four hours before the end, Lucas Auer, Jules Gounon, Daniel Juncadella, and Max Verstappen are forced to temporarily park the #3 in the garage due to a faulty drive shaft. The car is eventually classified in 37th place.
Meanwhile, the #80 quartet drives the race to a flawless conclusion despite changeable conditions, securing the historic triumph after 156 laps. Toyo Tires with Ring Racing finishes 17th overall. The #176 Mercedes-AMG GT4 from PROsport Racing secures a SP10 PRO-AM podium finish with third place in its category. A record crowd of 352,000 spectators attends the 54th ADAC RAVENOL 24h Nürburgring, which boasts the largest field of entrants since 2014 with 161 participating cars.
